Dina Drits is a fourth-year doctoral student in science education in the Department of Teaching & Learning. She received her B.A. from Carleton College and her M.A. from the University of Minnesota in biological anthropology. Between college and graduate school, she was a children’s science book editor at Lerner Publications in Minneapolis, MN. Dina’s research and professional interests includescience teacher professional development, science outreach, program evaluation, theories of teacher change, and children's literature. Her research assistantship is with Dr. Louisa Stark at the Genetic Science Learning Center, located in the Institute of Human Genetics. In her free time, Dina enjoys traveling, reading, hiking, skiing, tennis, Tai Chi, ballroom dancing and salsa, and spending time with friends and family.
