Please arrive at the testing center 15-30 minutes prior to your test time with two forms of identification (one with a picture). When you check in, you will need to sign the roster and fill out necessary forms before being taken to the testing area. Plan on at least a total of 2 hours at the Testing Center.
The Testing Center states that the test results are available within 10-15 working days. However, the department recommends that the test be done at least 2 months before department deadline to allow adequate time for the test results to reach the Special Education Department by the application deadline for the semester in which you are seeking admission. Be sure to indicate on your registration form that you want the official results of the GRE General Test sent directly to the University of Utah Department of Special Education, from the Educational Testing Service. If you opt to take the Analytical/Writing portion of the GRE and the Praxis I Basic Skills Test, you must bring in a hard copy of the Praxis I Test results to the department.
Information about the GRE General Test (help on test preparation, sample scoring, etc. ) is available from the University of Utah Testing Center and from the GRE website at http://www.gre.org/. Information about the Praxis I test is available at www.teachingandlearning.org.
