Cheryl is an instructor with the multi-university consortium in the area of hearing impairments. She teaches  Orientation , Language Instruction and Effective Practices coursework and supervises student teachers. Before coming to the University of Utah, she had twenty years of experience in teaching and program supervision. She has worked as an itinerant teacher for deaf and hard of hearing students in Granite School District, an elementary classroom teacher for Utah School for the Deaf, an early intervention hearing consultant with the Utah School for the Deaf Parent-Infant Program, and was the statewide coordinator for the Parent Infant Program. Cheryl is a former president of AG Bell of Utah and currently maintains the position of Education Liaison on the AG Bell board. Cheryl holds an M.Ed. in Special Education with an endorsement in the area of hearing impairments. Cheryl also holds an Early Intervention II credential and 0-3 deaf education certificate. She takes a special interest in the early intervention of hearing impairments.
