Kim Mendenhall Zasakis

Faculty Associate

Kim is a graduate of the University of Utah with a Master's degree in Special Education (Mild/Moderate). She has taught in Jordan district in a resource classroom, and currently teaches in the Salt Lake district in an inclusive setting. Kim organized an effective school-wide behavioral management program for students with IEP's and behavioral contracts. She also designed and runs a social skills program for the students with high-functioning autism and social skills/behavioral goals. Kim collaborates on a weekly basis with regular educators in her current inclusive setting and has co-taught math for 5 th and 6 th grades. Additionally, she is a member of the Autism team for the Salt Lake District. Kim has a particular love for students of diversity, and continuously strives to seek ways to make inclusion effective for all. Five of her sweetest treasures in life are her four children and her husband Paul.
