NEW STUDENT TEACHING LICENSE
Beginning Spring 2008, the Utah State Office of Education will require that a student obtain a Student Teaching License before beginning their student teaching experience. The process for obtaining a Student Teaching License is as follows:
- Go to www.utah.gov/teachers.
- Click on Student Licenses and complete the application process.
- In order to apply, you must have completed your background check.
- Pay $25 for the student teaching license.
- Receive an authorization signature from the University.
- Receive an authorization signature from the school district placement site.
IF YOU PLAN TO STUDENT TEACH SPRING 2008, PLEASE COMPLETE YOUR STUDENT TEACHING APPLICATION BY DECEMBER 7, 2007.
If you plan to student teach during summer or fall semester, please be sure your Student Teaching Application is completed at least six weeks prior to beginning student teaching.
