Lynette Danley is an assistant professor in the Department of Educational Leadership and Policy and Ethnic Studies Program at the University of Utah . Her research interests include the exploration of academic and social experiences of women and people of color in higher education; particularly the recruitment and retention of Black women faculty members and students in academia. In addition to surveying strategies for successful navigation of the academy, her current scholarship examines and applies Critical Race Feminism epistemologies and methodological approaches by using narratives and counter stories to share the diverse lived experiences of traditionally under-served populations in higher education.
