Paul received his doctorate in counseling psychology from Loyola University – Chicago. Prior to coming to the University of Utah, Paul held faculty appointments at Southern Illinois University and the University of Missouri-Kansas City. He also served as the Director of the Career Transitions Research Department at ACT in Iowa City. Paul currently serves as the Chair of the Society for Vocational Psychology and on an Advisory Board to the VP of Science for the Society of Counseling Psychology. Paul’s research interests focus on the motivational aspects of high school and college students’ success, and on understanding and promoting effective career and life planning.
