The purpose of this chapter is to provide educational leaders with a framework for thinking about the change and restructuring processes in schools. Realizing the benefits which accrue to the reflective practitioner who considers multiple frames and models, the rational for this effort is rooted in the assumption that restructuring initiatives have a higher probability of success if guided by informed models of change and if the technology associated with the teaching task and the norms of teaching profession are considered.
